Hello, we are The Groove Dance Studio
We run weekly classes, along with regular workshops & events in Ballroom, Latin American, Salsa and Argentine Tango.
Our weekly dance class is the most enjoyable hour of the week. Natalie takes time to teach us literally ‘step by step’; building our confidence week on week. It’s a great way to work out physically and mentally – without even realising it! Lots of fun too!

Dance Classes
We run fun and friendly classes every week for all ages and abilities in Cha Cha, Tango, Waltz, Jive & Quickstep and more. Check our class details for a venue near you...
Private Lessons
We can also arrange one-to-one tuition if you prefer. This may be to brush up on your technique or it may be a specially arranged dance for your wedding day or other special event.
Events
If you are planning a party, corporate event, team building day or just want a fun get together with friends, ask about our Salsa events, or give us your own ideas for your event.
FAQs about dancing...
What do I wear? Whatever you feel comfortable in. Most people just come along in normal casual clothes – even jeans are OK!
What shoes should I wear? A comfy pair of shoes that will stay on your feet. Try to avoid trainers, as you can’t glide around the floor so easily in these.
Do I need a partner? No, you can come along on your own. We usually have men and ladies who come on their own, and will always try to match you up with someone.
Do I need to book for a class? No, just turn up on the night to whatever class you want to do.
I’m going to miss a few classes; will I be able to catch up? If you feel you need a ‘catch up’ lesson, we offer private lessons to help you get back up to speed with the rest of the group. What about sharing a lesson with another couple to help keep the cost down?
I’m getting married next month, can you help? Short of time? Don't panic. We are experts in putting things together in a hurry, but ensuring you look good, feel confident and are happy every step of the way.
Can I use my favourite song for our wedding dance? Yes, of course! Bring your music with you and we are sure to find the perfect dance to suit.

The
Groove Dance Studio was established in 2007 by Natalie. After a successful
competitive career in the Amateur ranks, she retired from competing and
turned Professional in 2001, to focus her attention on teaching. After working
with other dance teachers for several years, she decided to start her own
school. Now well established in Worcestershire and Shropshire, the school
specialises in teaching absolute beginners through to more advanced dancers.
Natalie is qualified with the British Association of Teachers of Dance and
United Kingdom Alliance.
Neil
had never danced before meeting Natalie, but when they married in 2007,
he soon realised he would have to learn! His first dance experience was
at his wedding in front of 80 guests. Quite daunting for someone who had
never danced, but he gave a great performance on the day, through the carefully
choreographed routine by Natalie. You will see Neil at most of the classes
helping to make the night run smoothly and answer any questions you have
– and improving his dancing as well! Neil also maintains the website content.
